Drug Rehabs
When choosing
drug rehabs most people are interested in one main factor – which drug
rehab offers the most effective program to help my loved one achieve a lasting drug free lifestyle?
Getting an answer to just this one question can be a confusing and daunting task.
At Narconon Arrowhead we suggest you look for
drug rehabs that are drug free in their approach to
addiction treatment.
Handling a drug
addiction problem with further drugs, even if prescribed or legal ones, just doesn’t make sense.
The side-effects alone from some of these substances can escalate the problem beyond imagination. An individual needs to eliminate cravings and deal with guilt and depression in a drug free manner. This is best achieved by learning and applying the necessary skills to comfortably confront the business of living. Look for drug rehabs that build your loved one up, and not tear them down with further drug dependence!
Drug Rehab Information By State
Addiction is a chronic, relapsing condition, characterized by compulsive drug-seeking and
drug use which is accompanied by functional and molecular changes in the brain. In addition to being addicted to methamphetamine, chronic methamphetamine abusers exhibit symptoms that can include violent behavior, anxiety, confusion, and insomnia. They also can display a number of psychotic features, including paranoia, auditory hallucinations, mood disturbances, and delusions. The paranoia can result in homicidal as well as suicidal thoughts. With chronic use, tolerance for methamphetamine can develop. Users may take higher doses of the drug, take it more frequently, or change their method of drug intake. In some cases, abusers forego food and sleep while injecting as much as a gram of the drug every 2 to 3 hours over several days until the user runs out of the drug or is too disorganized to continue. Chronic
abuse can lead to psychotic behavior, characterized by intense paranoia, visual and auditory hallucinations, and out-of-control rages that can be coupled with extremely violent behavior.

Drug
addiction has been called, and deservedly so, the plague of the modern world.
There is hardly a family in the world that hasn’t been impacted by drug
addiction in one form or another. Current thinking has not been successful in curbing this plague let alone solving it.
Traditional
treatment options have simply failed to deliver on any significant level.
For over 40 years now Narconon has been delivering a non-traditional approach to healing addiction with proven, consistent, long-term results. Narconon is a long-term and drug free approach that actually empowers the individual to not only cease use and end cravings, but delivers into his hands the skills and abilities to move forward and face life’s challenges without resorting to drug or alcohol use out of desperation.
A drug free productive lifetime is our specialty!
Addiction is a condition characterized by repeated compulsive seeking and use of drugs, alcohol or other substances despite adverse social, mental and physical consequences.
Next to methamphetamine, cocaine creates the greatest psychological dependence of any drug.
Compulsive cocaine use develops much more rapidly when the substance is smoked rather than snorted.
A tolerance to cocaine develops quickly – the addict soon fails to achieve as much pleasure as he or she did from the same amount of cocaine earlier.
Thus more and more cocaine is needed more and more often to maintain the same effect. Along with this increased use come increased health risks.
